I have this bird, Wendy. She’s hardcore into WoW. During particularly healing-intense pulls during a raid or when I’m stabbing a Tauren’s knee in pvp, she’ll be there. She is super helpful – she pecks my hands or screams loudly in my microphone while I’m talking over Vent. Sometimes she casts spells by hopping over my keyboard. Other times she’ll drink water out of my glass. One time she attempted to drown herself in my water glass by getting stuck upside-down. We wiped, but Wendy lived.
Are there other helpful gaming pets out there?
Oh, this is so much fun to read! I used to have a bird myself too (this was before I started gaming) and he did the exact same thing with the glass! He would also sit on people’s head – which would scare people who had never been to my place before, hehe. I can totally imagine her hopping over your keyboard. Awws, now you made me miss my little bird!

Her other hobbies include taunting my dog, staring out the window while whistling sadly, and sitting on the top of my Kindle while I’m reading.

WIN! I bought Wendy because a friend of mine in-game got a budgie. He’s much, much louder than Wendy here. They generally get louder – and more obnoxious – when you’re talking over Ventrilo or anything like that! Very social little guys

Aw Wendy looks sweet. We have two English male budgies, but they are too loud, so we have to move them when we do anything that includes a mic.
